Dr. Rubin emphasizes the vital importance of a biopsychosocial approach to sexual medicine, highlighting the significance of understanding a patient’s background and their goals for enhancing their quality of life. She defines sexual medicine, discusses when to seek help and addresses issues like low desire and arousal. Dr. Rubin recommends various treatment options, including the use of devices (ie. vibrators) for enhancing intimacy.
